About Sam Futurio
Hello, my name is Sam Futurio. I am a web entrepreneur, specializing in social media and development of web sites that engage wide audiences in collaborative tasks. The goal of my company, Futurio Ventures is to advance internet-based communications through micro-exchange of ideas towards the common goal of the participants with specific focus on Nash Equilibria-based theories.
I have been buying and selling web sites since 1999 and consider myself to be something of an expert in the field. I hope this web site helps you in your first steps towards prosperity and I do my best to provide an honest and unbiased opinion about the topics I discuss.
I have graduated from CalTech with a degree in Computer Science and did my Master’s in Psychology at Mt Holyoke College in Mass. My personal interests include playing guitar and spending time with my wonderful wife, Martha, and two daughters: Holly and Becky.
Everything above is a complete and total fabrication. Just like a lot of other things you may read on the internet, especially when it involves getting your money, it’s a complete and total lie. The picture of the nice gentleman is a free stock image from http://www.sxc.hu/ and Mt Holyoke College is a girls-only school, or at least it was when I last checked.
In fact, my name is Steve Paret and while I did go to school and graduate with a degree in CompSci, that wasn’t in Caltech, that was in my native Slovitsia. After the school, I moved to the US and because I didn’t have a job and the internet boom was in full swing — the end of 1999 — I set my sights on trying to ride the internet wave and making a living off that.
I was first doing small web design tasks for the company of my relative, but then advanced to running a web forum of my own, sold it two years later, created a couple of new sites and have been doing it ever since. I do hold on to a few successful web properties now and don’t really deal with the small fish anymore, but I believe I have a unique perspective on providing information about buying and selling web sites, having often been on both sides of the process.
Not really. Get my point?
P.S. I did like “The Beautician and the Beast” and if you think there is a country called Slovitsia, you need to audit that Geography 101 class first, because you probably are equally bad at math.
